Uncle Henry´s Universe.

About the blog

I have no heavy training... Barely Elementary School. Preferred the wilderness, it became my university, but I got muddy boots and experience instead of School knowledge so my English was therefore quite inadequate. This blog is a project to improve my skills in English language.

We all have our own universe, welcome to visit mine.

Summer sucks!

I wonder Posted on Tue, August 28, 2012 20:55

When I began to write on the blog this spring, I was very curious about how I would manage to catch up with it during the summer months, given the intensity of work, then. Now I know…

I failed miserably!

I always have the same dreams, every summer, year after year.

Slowly cycling during sweet smelling mild summer evenings, listening to singing birds. No, not this year either!

Summer bath in clear lakes. No, not even touched the water with my hand.

Kayaking, Paragliding, Birding, Sunbathes… No, no, no, no.

I HAVE BEEN WORKING! smiley

Therefore, it is with pleasure that I note the first frost on the windshield. Finally! Autumn is coming and the end of working season is fast approaching.

Mist or fog, chilly mornings, clear air, darkness and more time to think.

Wonderful!

Soon snowing again! smiley

Be careful!

The man is on the hunt again!

Fist on the table!

I wonder Posted on Fri, March 23, 2012 17:46

The organizations ” Fist on the table” and people campaign for new predator policy have meetings around the country tomorrow. They consider themselves to live under a terrorist threat from all predators! (Their own words…) Their whole existence is threatened. Livestocks, open landscapes, basic security, industry, recreation and so on.

I think they’re exaggerating a bit …

I live in the countryside which is considered wolf densest in the country. I spend about 250 days per year in the woods and have absolutely no problem whatsoever with predators! They have not even tasted me… yet.

We live in a strange time! Both high-tech and predator fear. I remember the book nineteen eighty-four with a shudder and think that Facebook is much scarier than the wildlife we lived with for thousands of years!

Hunting Small Game!

I wonder Posted on Sun, March 04, 2012 14:37

He must had been very surprised when that damned blue and white, big as an elephant – kind of hare, didn’t fall even after four good shoots with that loved shotgun! He even tried three volley of rifle fire! ( Yes, I am prejudiced, I think its a man not a woman…)

Who is this person that makes holes in a big number of traffic signs in the northern parts of our landscape?

Maybe a old dim-sighted hunter…or a boozer…maybe both? But I’m really certain that I don’t want to drive along the roads when he goes on hunting.
